BERLINER SYMPHONIKER
Symphonic Orchestra

The world famous orchestra "Berliner Symphoniker" was founded 40 years ago in 1966. The orchestra is particularly renowned for their series of performances of classical concerts in the "Berlin Philharmonic Hall" (Berliner Philharmonie) and the "Concert Hall of Berlin " (Konzerthaus).
As one of the most important orchestras from Germany , this symphonic organism is a magnificent cultural ambassador.
The "Berliner Symphoniker" are regularly invited to perform concerts in Europe and around the world like, Austria, Switzerland, France, Spain, Italy, Netherlands, Great Britain or
in the United States , Japan , China , Korea etc. A very successful tour was realized in 2001 in South America, where the "Berliner Symphoniker" gave overwhelming concerts in Brazil , Mexico , Uruguay , Venezuela and in Buenos Aires/Argentina (Teatro Colón).
The CD "Berliner Latin Tour" was nominated for the famous Grammy-Award.
The orchestra "Berliner Symphoniker" has realized many TV-productions.
One of the highlights was the concert with Luciano Pavarotti.
Worldwide many recordings of the Berliner Symphoniker are available.
The orchestra "Berliner Symphoniker" will perform several concerts, with an enchanting program, during the "III. Festival Internacional de Ushuaia" in Tierra del Fuego-Argentina, which takes place from the 14th-28th of April 2007




JORGE ULIARTE (Argentina-Austria)
Orchestra Conductor

Artistic Director of the "Festival Internacional de Ushuaia". He realized an international career as Conductor and as pianist, with orchestras from Europe, USA and South America. He was assistant of Sir Georg Solti in 1991 at the Salzburg Festival and was Fellow of the “Royal College of Music”/Manchester-England. He won several international piano contests and realized numerous concerts, for example in the Konzerthaus of Vienna, Herbert Von Karajan-Centrum, Vienna, Boesendorfer Saal / Vienna, Auditorio Nazionale de Santa Cecilia / Rome, Concertgebow /Amsterdam, Federal Hall / New York, Filarmonia Narodova / Varsovia, Teatro de Bellas Artes /Belgium, Teatro Colón /Buenos Aires, Festival Cervantino /Mexico, Legion of Honour Theatre, San Francisco/ California, Schloss Mirabell /Salzburg, Residenz /Salzburg, festivals such as Taormina, Sorrento, Sweden, Switzerland, Holland, New York and many others. As guest conductor of several orchestras such as Mozarteum Ochester, Salzburg, United Philharmonic, Vienna, Kamtchadka Chamber Orchestra, Russia, Wiener Sinfonietta, Orquesta Filarmónica de Buenos Aires, RNCM Symphony Orchestra, England, San Francisco Chamber Orchestra, San Francisco /USA. His records have been broadcasted in radios and television channels of America and Europe such as RAI Radio and televizione italiana, RSR Radio et television de la Suisse Romande, Bayerischer Rundfunk/ Munich, ORF Radio and Austrian television.




CLAUDE VILLARET (Switzerland)
Orquestra Conductor

Was  born in Lausanne, Switzerland. After his studies of piano and conducting, he concentrated first on his career as a soloist. Bernard Haitink invited him to follow his work with the Euyo and the Berliner Philharmoniker. He lived a few years in Argentina where he founded the Youth Orchestra of Latin America in 1990, which he conducted in the famous Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires. Back in Europe he was winner in 1994 of the conducting competition of the music academy in Biel. Therefore he was invited as guest conductor from the South Bohemian Chamber Philharmonic. Since then he is conducting in music centers such as Milan, Zurich, Salzburg, Buenos Aires, Geneva and leads orchestras such as the Symphony Orchestra Zurich (Switzerland), the Sinfônica Nacional (Brasil), the Plovdiv State Philharmonic Orchestra (Bulgaria), Kammerorchester Tübingen (Germany), the State Philharmonic Orchestras of Arad, Sibiu and Oradea (Romania), the Musikkollegium Winterthur (2006 Switzerland). Since 2002 he is permanent guest conductor of the Orquesta Sinfonica UNT de Tucuman (Argentina) as of the Orquestra Sinfônica Nacional since the season 2004. He leads the Symphony Orchestra KV in Zurich since 2000. In 2003 he was appointed chief conductor as artistic director of the TKO-the Chamber Orchestra Thurgau (Switzerland). He has also been conducting operas: performances of “La Bohème”, “Il Trovatore” as new productions of “Don Giovanni”, “Trouble in Tahiti” (L. Bernstein), “7 Deadly Sins” (K. Weill) in Geneva and Lausanne. He leaded several first performances of Swiss and foreign composers within Switzerland and abroad. He is also invited as guest professor to give masterclasses of conducting in Germany, Argentina and Brasil.




CAMERATA BARILOCHE (Argentina)
Chamber Orquestra

Created in 1967, its first conductor was Alberto Lysy, who was succeeded by Rubén González and Elías Khayat. Since 1992 the musical director is Fernando Hasaj.
Any Argentine chamber group has had such a sustained, regular and brilliant existence as the Camerata Bariloche, which can proudly show a luxurious international career enriched by a gratifying artistic success.
Extraordinary Ambassador of Argentina to the countries of America, Europe, the Far and Middle East, it was present at the Cultural Olympiad of Mexico and Munich, as well as in the international festivals of Salzburg, Taormina, Montreux and Gstaad-Menuhin, also representing Argentina at the Expo-Osaka, Japan.
While on tour, the orchestra has made appearances in the world’s most important concert halls, among them: Teatro Colón, Buenos Aires; Salle Gaveau and Salle Pleyel, Paris; Kennedy Center, Washington; Carnegie Hall, New York; NHK, Tokio; Olympia, Athens; Beethovenhalle, Bonn; Tchaikovsky Hall, Moscow; Auditorio Nacional de Música, Madrid; Ritirsky Hall, Praga; Brahms Saal and the Musikverein, Vienna; Herkules Saal, Munich; Wallenstein Palace, Praga; Palau de la Música, Barcelona; Osaka Musical Academy Auditorium, Japón; Bangkok Music Auditorium, Thailand.
Some of the soloists who have performed with the orchestra have been Astor Piazzolla, Ernesto Bitteti, Yehudi Menuhin, Antonio Janigro, Janos Starker, Karl Richter, Katherine Ciesinsky, Nicolás Chumachenko, Maxim Vengeroff, Jean Pierre Rampal, Vadin Repin, Cho-Liang Lin, Jean Ives Thibaudet, Frederika von Stade, Mstislav Rostropovich and Martha Argerich, among others.
The group is composed by almost twenty musicians, selected among the best in Argentina, and its artistic background is made up of no less than 2.500 concerts and some thirty recordings, done in different parts of the world.
The Camerata Bariloche has also performed the Original Soundtracks for several films: “El Canto Cuenta su Historia” 1976; “Argentinísima” 1972; “El Hombre Olvidado” 1981; “Un Lugar en el Mundo” 1991; “Vidas privadas” 2002.
Throughout its history, the Camerata Bariloche has received numerous distinctions, one of which is the emblematic Platinum Konex Prize which was awarded to the group as the best chamber ensemble in the history of Argentina.
The Camerata Bariloche, 40 years after its creation, is internationally positioned at a level never reached by any other national entity of its kind.




PATRICIA PAGNY (France)
Pianist

Patricia Pagny took her first piano lessons by Nora Doallo, a student of Vicente Scaramuzza, and studied later with Nikita Magaloff, Maria Joâo Pires and Paul Badura-Skoda. Since she won the Alessandro Casagrande International Piano Competition in Terni, Italy and has been a finalist of the Concours Clara Haskil, she has received regular invitations to play in Europe, Asia, Canada, in the United States and South America at the most prestigious concert halls -Chicago Orchestra Hall, Kyoto Concert Hall, Paris Salle Pleyel, Salle Gaveau, and Auditorium du Louvre, Zurich Tonhalle, Munich Herkulessaal, Parma Teatro Regio, Berlin Philharmonie…- has appeared as soloist with such orchestras as the Chicago Symphony, Philharmonia Hungarica, Sinfonia Varsovia, Arturo Toscanini Symphony, Münchner Rundfunkorchester, Ensemble Orchestral de Paris, Dresdner Kapellsolisten (Soloists of the Staatskapelle)... and has performed often in recitals and chamber music concerts at te Spoleto, Bologna, Zurich, Montreux, Colmar, Strasbourg, and Menuhin/Gstaad, Milan, Lugano Festivals with well-known colleagues and conductors including Sir Georg Solti , Lord Yehudi Menuhin, Uri Segal, Marcello Viotti …She has made both radio and television recordings. Her compact discs include works by Scarlatti, Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Schubert, Schumann, Brahms, Debussy, Othmar Schoeck, Arthur Honegger and Othmar Schoeck.
“A culminating moment [of the Zurich Festival] was the recital given by pianist Patricia Pagny, who appeared in Zurich between two renowned colleagues, and reproduced romantic piano playing in the best manner.She is in a way a "lioness of the keyboard" like Martha Argerich, even though she is just thirty years old. GORAN FILIPEC (Croatia)
Pianist

Was born in 1981 in Rijeka, Croatia. Already during the first years of his musical education, he was recognized as an extraordinary talent, and performed on numerous concerts in Croatia and abroad. Already during his secondary music school studies, in 1997, Goran Filipec became the youngest student of the Music Academy „I. Mirkovich“ in Lovran, which operates according to the license of the Moscow state conservatory "P. I. Tschaikowsky", and started his studies of piano with prof. Marina Ambokadze, the heir of Liszt's and Busoni's principles of piano playing. He finished his studies at the Academy „I. Mirkovich“ in 2001 with highest remarks, and started appearing in the most prestigious concert halls in Croatia. From 2003 Filipec has been simultaneously specializing at the Hochschüle für Musik Köln with prof. dr.h.c. Arbo Valdma, and at the Schola Cantorum in Paris with prof. Eugen Indjic, where he obtained the final “Diplome du Concert” in 2006. His charismatic performances where often followed by strong reactions among world famous pianists. Ivo Pogorelich once wrote: “His grate pianistic abilities, originality of his musical ideas, and control of principles of a specific pianistic school, make this pianist unique and original.” Oxana Yablonskaya, pianist and professor at the Julliard School of music, wrote: “I was extremely impressed by his high professionalism, grate level of performance and artistic taste. He possesses very deep understanding of musical text and excellent technique.” Through his artistic activities, Goran Filipec has been particularly profiled as an extraordinary interpreter of the Liszt's piano music, to which he has dedicated a great part of his creative work. His performances where described by the critics as “brilliant“, “powerful and refined”…  His wide repertoire consists of the important cycles of the piano literature like Listz's "Years of Pilgrimage", the complete Chopin's etudes, Paganini-Liszt-Busoni's etudes, and the complete Beethoven's piano concertos.
Goran Filipec performed in many famous concert halls like the the Carnegie Hall in New York, Grande Salle du Conservatoire de Musique Geneve, Salle Frank Martin, Palace de Beaux Arts – Salle des Abeilles, Salle Cortot in Paris, National Concert Hall in Dublin, Large Concert hall of the Muziekcentrum Vredenburg in Utrecht, «Vatroslav Lisinski» Concert Hall in Zagreb, Croatian National theatres in Rijeka and Split, to mention a few. His concerts are regularly recorded and broadcasted by Radio and Television.




CHRISTINE MARIA HÖLLER (Salzburg, Austria)
Violinist

Christine-Maria Höller, born in Bischofshofen near Salzburg / Austria, began playing the violin at the age of seven. By her tenth birthday, she had already been accepted as a student at the Mozarteum University of Music and Dramatic Arts in Salzburg. Her professors included Erika Lösch, Prof. Zehetmaier and Prof. L. Hagen.  She completed her orchestral diploma and the final concert diploma with high honors.
Her education was further rounded off by masters courses with other professors, including: Shmuel Ashkenazy, Rony Rogoff, Igor Ozim, Ljerko Spiller, Michael Frischenschlager, Dimitri Sitkovetsky, Leonidas Kavakos, Stefan Picard,  Mauricio Fuks and Gilles Apap.
Besides her concert performances she is teaching violin at the Mozarteum as assistant to Prof. Lukas Hagen.
Christine–Maria Höller has already been awarded numerous prizes and honors through her participation in national and international contests such as 1st prizes for the youth performance “Jugend musiziert”, and the International Violin Contest in Gorizia, Italy.
Since taking her degree she has fully dedicated her time to concert performances.  Her musical spectrum ranges from classical works to contemporary music, already having given international performances of works by modern composers at various festivals.
Her duets with a variety of pianists have included Rico Gulda, Luca Monti, Irma Kliauzaite, Gerda Guttenberg and Noriko Shiozaki. Her chamber music partners include ensembles such as "Salzburger Musici" and "Concertino Salzburg".  As a soloist, she has appeared with orchestras such as "Capella Istropolitana", "Youth Philharmonic Salzburg", "Salzburg Mozarteum Orchestra", "Dortmund Philharmonic Orchestra" (A. Fagan),  "Radio Symphony Orchestra Prague" (W. Valek, P. Feranec), “Orquesta Sinfonica De Salta” (J. Uliarte, F. Izcarey) and the “Dvorak Symphonic Orchestra Prague” (J. Uliarte, C. Villaret).
Over the last few years, the highlights of her artistic performance have included several appearances at the Large Festival Hall Salzburg, the Mozart Pentecost Festival in Istanbul, the Music Festival in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, the Munich Celibidache Festival, the "Young Artists" concert series hosted by the International Mozarteum Foundation, the Dortmund Concert Hall, the Rudolfinum Prague  and the festivals 2005 and 2006 in Ushuaia, Argentinia.
Christine-Maria's first CD entitled "Portrait" was released by Gramola in December 2002 and features works by Dvorak, Kreisler, Sarasate, Prokofieff and Mozart. Meanwhile additional productions are available.

 




RATIMIR MARTINOVIC (Montenegro)
Pianist

Was born in Kotor(Montenegro),a picturesque town on the adriatic sea. He received his musical education in Kotor and Novi Sad ( Serbia ) at the "Isidor Bajic" Music school and at the Academy of Art with Prof. Kemal Gekiæ. He graduated in 1999 playing Bach's »Goldberg Variations«, Beethoven's »Hammerklavier« Sonata, Chopin's Four Balllades, and Prokofiev's Toccata to great critical acclaim. He received his Masters degree in 2002, playing  Bach repertoire.
Ratimir Martinovic completed his advanced studies with well-known pedagogues and pianists such as Karl-Heinz Kammerling, Hiroko Nakamura, Jacques Rouvier, Arie Vardi, Sergio Perticaroli, Arbo Valdma, Alexei Nasedkin, Jelena Richter, Victor Liadov and Marian Ribicky.
He has performed in over 400 recitals, chamber concerts and concerts with orchestra. He played in a lot of important concert halls in Rome , Salzburg , Bonn , London , Taipei , Miami ,  Helsinki , Warsaw , Hamamatsu , Paris , Zagreb , Ljubljana , Florence , Kansas City, Helsingborg and further more.
Martinoviæ is very much involved in video productions. He has made already seven video-clips about the life of Ginastera, Prokofiev, Chopin, Rachmaninoff, Bach, Brahms, Ravel, produced by the Radio/ Television Montenegro and Radio/Television Serbia. Five documentary movies have been recorded about his work, of which the last one, »The heaven and soul« won the first prize at the "International TV Festival in Albena", Bulgaria in 2004.
Martinoviæ made his debut as orchestra conductor in 2001 with the Novi Sad Chamber Orchestra. He is founder and Artistic director of the  KotorArt Music festival in Montenegro.




AIMO PAGIN (France)
Pianist

Born in 1983, Aimo Pagin began his piano studies at age 7, with FRANCOISE CLAUSTRE at the "Conservatoire de Musique de Strasbourg", and then with RENA SHERESHEVSKAYA, in Colmar. There he unanimously received a diploma for piano, as well as for chamber music and music theory. In 2001 he was accepted to study at the "Conservatoire Supérieur de Musique" in Geneva, Switzerland, with DOMINIQUE MERLET, ending with the highest distinction, the "Diplôme de soliste". He enriched his musical activities by taking precious advice from famous teachers and pianists, such as DOMINIQUE MERLET, VLADIMIR FELTSMAN, RADU LUPU, MURRAY PERRAHIA, NOEL LEE, MARIA TIPO, and PASCAL ROGE.
Aimo Pagin won numerous prizes, in 1997 the first prize at the "Concours musical de France", in 1998 the first prize at the "Concours de piano de Besançon". From then on, he has revealed his talent throughout Europe, giving performances all over the continent, and participating in several prestigious festivals, such as the "Festival Chopin" in Paris, the "Festival Radio-France" in Montpellier, and the "Societa dei concerti" in Milan.
Aside from his solo career, he has an important experience in chamber music, giving recitals at the Concertgebow Amsterdam, Carnegie Hall New York, and often plays with his mother SILVIA MARCOVICI in numerous European cities, and has performed with her the double concerto of Mendelssohn, with the Bucarest Philarmonic. In 2004, he is entering the Peabody Institute of Music, in Baltimore, in the class of the legendary pianist LEON FLEISHER. His musical contribution to Peabody was considerable, and has been awarded the Sarah Stulman Zierler Prize.
Aimo Pagin has been, in September 2005, prizewinner of the ENESCU international Piano competition.




JULIA MALISCHNIG (Austria)
Guitar

Born 1976 in Villach, Austria. After initial guitar lessons with Barbara Dietrich, she took up her studies with the renowned Prof. Konrad Ragossnig at the University of Music inVienna.
Furthermore she studied with Oscar Ghiglia at the Music Academy of Basel, as well as with Frank Bungarten, Pepe Romero, Alexander Swete a.o. The examining board was unanimous in its decision and Julia graduated with distinction also receiving the “Appraisal Award” from the Austrian Department for Education, Science and Culture.
Julia is an award winner of numerous competitions (Jugend Musiziert, Forum Gitarre Wien) and scholarships.
She has performed with world famous musicians such as the “Zagreb Soloists” and the argentinian bandoneonist Dino Saluzzi, and has captivated her audiences in concerts in Austria, Germany, Slovenia, Italy, France, South Africa, Cuba and Argentina. A significant success in her young career, the bilateral cultural project “Notas y Notas” 2005 brought her standing ovations in her solo concert in the Teatro Amadeo Roldán in Havana.
In October 2005 her first solo album “JOY”,  recorded in Havana, Cuba, was realized.
