PRAGUE SYMPHONIC ORQUESTRA "DVORAK"
One of the most important orchestras from Prague

Prague Symphonic Orchestra "Dvorak" was founded in 1990. Its fundamental basis was born as a chamber orchestra and its members were part of Prague's radio and television symphonic orchestra. Afterwards it became a symphonic agency and in 1996 it was definitely established as PRAGUE SYMPHONIC ORCHESTRA "DVORAK". Today, it is considered one of most prestigious orchestras in the Czech Republic. Its first German tour was in 1997 and it was totally acclaimed by German critics. IT was chosen as one of the best symphonic agency of this season.  It has a permanent participation in the opera festival BAD HERSFELD. Its recordings have received the "Reference" distinction. Since 1998 the orchestra travelled to several European nations such as Germany, Greece, Switzerland, etc. This orchestra is considered as one main ingredient in the great Czech musical tradition. Its repertoire not only includes classic pieces of music but also a vast field within the music of our times.




CLAUDE VILLARET (Switzerland)
Orchestra Conductor

Was  born in Lausanne, Switzerland. After his studies of piano and conducting, he concentrated first on his career as a soloist. Bernard Haitink invited him to follow his work with the Euyo and the Berliner Philharmoniker. He lived a few years in Argentina where he founded the Youth Orchestra of Latin America in 1990, which he conducted in the famous Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires. Back in Europe he was winner in 1994 of the conducting competition of the music academy in Biel. Therefore he was invited as guest conductor from the South Bohemian Chamber Philharmonic. Since then he is conducting in music centers such as Milan, Zurich, Salzburg, Buenos Aires, Geneva and leads orchestras such as the Symphony Orchestra Zurich (Switzerland), the Sinfônica Nacional (Brasil), the Plovdiv State Philharmonic Orchestra (Bulgaria), Kammerorchester Tübingen (Germany), the State Philharmonic Orchestras of Arad, Sibiu and Oradea (Romania), the Musikkollegium Winterthur (2006 Switzerland). Since 2002 he is permanent guest conductor of the Orquesta Sinfonica UNT de Tucuman (Argentina) as of the Orquestra Sinfônica Nacional since the season 2004. He leads the Symphony Orchestra KV in Zurich since 2000. In 2003 he was appointed chief conductor as artistic director of the TKO-the Chamber Orchestra Thurgau (Switzerland). He has also been conducting operas: performances of “La Bohème”, “Il Trovatore” as new productions of “Don Giovanni”, “Trouble in Tahiti” (L. Bernstein), “7 Deadly Sins” (K. Weill) in Geneva and Lausanne. He leaded several first performances of Swiss and foreign composers within Switzerland and abroad. He is also invited as guest professor to give masterclasses of conducting in Germany, Argentina and Brasil.




JORGE ULIARTE (Argentina-Austria)
Orchestra Conductor

Artistic Director of the "Festival Internacional de Ushuaia". He realized an international career as Conductor and as pianist, with orchestras from Europe, USA and South America. He was assistant of Sir Georg Solti in 1991 at the Salzburg Festival and was Fellow of the “Royal College of Music”/Manchester-England. He won several international piano contests and realized numerous concerts, for example in the Konzerthaus of Vienna, Herbert Von Karajan-Centrum, Vienna, Boesendorfer Saal / Vienna, Auditorio Nazionale de Santa Cecilia / Rome, Concertgebow /Amsterdam, Federal Hall / New York, Filarmonia Narodova / Varsovia, Teatro de Bellas Artes /Belgium, Teatro Colón /Buenos Aires, Festival Cervantino /Mexico, Legion of Honour Theatre, San Francisco/ California, Schloss Mirabell /Salzburg, Residenz /Salzburg, festivals such as Taormina, Sorrento, Sweden, Switzerland, Holland, New York and many others. As guest conductor of several orchestras such as Mozarteum Ochester, Salzburg, United Philharmonic, Vienna, Kamtchadka Chamber Orchestra, Russia, Wiener Sinfonietta, Orquesta Filarmónica de Buenos Aires, RNCM Symphony Orchestra, England, San Francisco Chamber Orchestra, San Francisco /USA. His records have been broadcasted in radios and television channels of America and Europe such as RAI Radio and televizione italiana, RSR Radio et television de la Suisse Romande, Bayerischer Rundfunk/ Munich, ORF Radio and Austrian television.




CHRISTINE MARIA HÖLLER (Salzburg)
Violin

Christine Maria-Höller was born in Bischofshofen, Salzburg, in 1978 and began playing violin at the age of seven.  By her tenth birthday, she had already been accepted as a junior student at the Mozarteum University of Music and Dramatic Arts, where she received her first violin lessons from Prof. Erika Lösch from 1989-1993.  Afterwards she continued her studies at the Mozarteum, with Prof. Dr. Helmut Zehetmair, and in 1997 she completed her orchestra studies with enormous success. In June 2000, she passed the orchestra diploma with unanimous distinction as well.  In addition to this, she received the acknowledgement award from the Minister of Education, Science, and Culture for her outstanding accomplishments.  Since October 2000, she has finished a post-graduate program with Prof. Lukas Hagan at the Mozarteum.  Her education was further rounded off with master courses by other professors, including: Shmuel Ashkenazy, Rony Rogoff, Igor Ozim, Ljerko Spiller, Michael Frischenschlager, Dimitri Sitkovetsky, Leonidas Kavakos, Stefan Picard, and Giles Apap. The young violinist has already been awarded numerous prizes and honors through her participation in national and international contests such as 1st prizes for youth performance “Jugend musiziert”, and the International Violin Contest in Gorizia, Italy. Her solo appearances, as well as additional awards for brilliant performance (the Altensteig/Germany concerts and receiving the Christa Richter Steiner award from the Mozarteum), reveal the full extent of her recognized artistic abilities. During the 2000-2003 concert season, Christine-Maria Höller performed countless solo evenings with the Salzburg Mozarteum Orchestra, the Philharmonic Orchestra Dortmund, the Youth Philharmonic Salzburg and the "Capella Istropolitana" orchestra.  Her chamber music partners are: Salzburg Musici and Concertino Salzburg. She has already played a wide spectrum of music literature together with numerous pianists, including Rico Gulda, Luca Monti, Irma Kliautzaite, Gerda Guttenberg and Noriko Shiozaki.   The highlights of her artistic life were performances during the Salzburg Culture Days in October 2001, the 2002 Mozart Pentecost Festival in Istanbul, the Music Festival in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern in July 2002, the Munich Celibidache Festival  in October 2002 and the "Young Artists" concert series hosted by the International Mozarteum Foundation. In autumn 2003 she performed with the Salzburg Mozarteum orchestra Mozart´s  violin concert in G-major and  the Bruch – violin concert  with the Philharmonic Orchestra Dortmund in the Festival Hall of Salzburg.




IRMA KLIAUZAITE (Lithuania)
Piano

Was born in Vilnius, Lithuania. She visited the “High School of Arts M.K. Ciurlionis”  and in 1990 she continued her studies at the Music Academy of Lithuania in Vilnius. Since 1993 she studied at the University Mozarteum in Salzburg. She participated in several master courses with L. Berman, L. Bashkirov, G. Mounier, E.Hesse-Bukovska a.o. In 1998 she passed her diploma of “piano” and in 2002 her diploma of “Chamber-Music” with distinction. She received the Austrian Prize of Honour from the Federal Ministry for Science. The young artist is winner of several international music competitions. In 1991 she won the International M.K. Ciurlionis-Competition in Vilnius and received the special prize for interpretation of the works of M.K. Ciurlionis. In 1999 she won the 1st prize at the 7th International Mozart-Competition in Salzburg. Besides she  was honoured with the Bösendorfer-Prize (Vienna) and the Bernhard Paumgartner-Medal (Foundation Mozarteum Salzburg). As a soloist she played with the Chamber- and Symphony Orchestra of Lithuania, the European C.H.A.I.N.-Orchestra, the Bruckner Orchester Linz, the Mozarteum Orchester Salzburg and the Salzburg Chamber Philharmony under conductors as George Alexandre Albrecht, Dennis Russel Davis, Yoon Kuk Lee, Saulius Sondeckis and Hubert Soudant. She appeared at several music festivals  as the European Music Summer Berlin, Pianoforte-Festival Meissen, Easter Festival Hall and Festival for contemporary music “Gaida” in Vilnius. Concert tours through Japan, Germany, Lithuania, Italy, Russia, France.




THOMAS LECHNER (Austria)
Marimba

Thomas Lechner was born in 1986 in Bischofshofen (Austria) and received his first percussion instruction at the Musikum Salzburg, taught by Franz Götzfried. Since 2000 he is studying at the Anton Bruckner University in Linz with Josef Gumpinger (percussion - RSO Vienna) and Bogdan Bácanu (marimba) and receives additional lessons from Anton Mittermayer (timpani - principal timpanist of  the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra). Furthermore he attended numerous masterclasses for marimba e.g.  Keiko Abe (Japan), Nancy Zeltsman (USA), Momoko Kamiya (Japan), Katarzyna Mycka (Poland). Thomas Lechner is winner of national and international competitions e.g.
Winner of the Austrian peak competition "GRADUS AD PARNASSUM 2002" and of the "Concours international pour caisse claire de Paris 2004". For his performance in 2004 he received the "Scholarship for outstanding students", donated by the "Sparkasse Oberösterreich", as the first student ever of the Anton Bruckner University and further he was choosen of a celebrity jury of the newspaper "Salzburger Fenster" being among the top 100 most outstanding people of Salzburg in 2004. With soloistic performances in the big hall of the "Konzerthaus" Vienna, as well as the festival of the opening of the "Salzburg Festival" 2004 in the Big Festival Hall of Salzburg or performances as a soloist with the Austrian's leading percussion group "Vienna Supercussion" at the "International Marimba Festival Linz 2004" Thomas Lechner attracted incredible attention among the audience, television and the press. He is regularly substituting for example at the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, the Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra, Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg and the Bruckner Orchestra Linz.




PETER MAYER (Austria)
Guitarist

The Austrian guitarist Peter Mayer was born in 1986. He studies at the University of Vienna and Linz with Mag. Michael Langer. As a member of various projects he played with important Austrian musicians like Hannes Raffaseder (composer), Prof. Josef Gumpinger (RSO Vienna) and Thomas Lechner (Marimba); Peter Mayer won the Austrian competition “Prima la Musica” three times, was winner in two international competitions and he got several special prizes with playing and composing. He was playing concerts in the Brucknerhaus Linz, Orchesterhaus Salzburg and Konzerthaus in Vienna. He has won the  1st prize at the “International Guitar-Competition Open Strings 2005” in Osnabrück/Germany.




LAURA MAITO (Argentina)
Piano

Laura Maito was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She studied music at the National Music Conservatory "Carlos López Bouchardo".  Her piano tutors were: María Teresa Criscuolo and Fermina Casanova, Antonio Russo, Julio García Cánepa, Pedro Franze, Horacio López de la Rosa, Gerardo Gandini, Jean Jacques Nattiez, Silvia Kersenbaum, Piotr Palenzky (Poland), Antonio Iglesias y Manuel Carra (Spain), Paul Trein y Toland Baldini (Germany), Jean Louis Mansart (France) and Mirta Herrera (Italy). She performed as soloist, as well with orchestras and with chamber music groups. She realized recordings for “Radio Nacional”, “Radio Cultura”, “Radio Universidad de La Plata”, “Radio América”, etc.  In 1997 she obtained a Scholarship given by the University of Santiago de Compostela-Spain. In 1998, 1999, 2000 and 2003 se attended the "Sommerakademie für Klavier"-Scholarship in Konz, Germany and took part in the Concerts Program in Germany and France. Laura Maito has been also invited in 2000 to participate as pianist for the “Olivier Messiaen's - The End of the Times Quartet” at the Bischöfliches Museum am Dom in Trier, Germany.
 Actually, she is programming a tour of concerts to perform the Carl Orff's Carmina Burana chamber version.

DAVID BARRERA (Spain)
Violoncello

David Barrera was born in 1981 in Tenerife, Spain. He received his first cello lesson at the age of  eight from professor Plamen Veley in the Conservatorio Superior de Musica de Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Four years later he offered his first soloist concert joined with the orchestra of the conservatory, with whom he later played in numerous occasions. He won diverse prizes at the “Jugend musiziert” contest. In 1995 he obtained the 1st prize in the instrumental category of Tenerife and in 1997 he obtained the 3rd  national prize in Chamber Music. From 1997 to 2001 he was awarded with a scholarship from the Real Philharmonic de Galicia, with whom he collaborated in numerous concerts. Moreover, he received classes from Mark Peters and Dimiter Furnadjev finalizing with them his superior studies of cello in the Conservatorio de Música de El Escorial, in Madrid, where he achieved the highest qualification grades. In 2003 he started his master studies of cello in Austria under the guidance of professor  Kerstin Feltz in the  “Universität für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Graz”. Since 2004 he has been realizing “Magisterstudium” camera music with  Professors Stephan Goerner and Chia Chou. David Barrera has a wide trajectory as a musician of duo chamber,  piano trios, and string quartets. He has offered concerts in Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Santiago de Compostela, as well as in Austria and Croatia. In Spain he has collaborated in numerous occasions with various orchestras like the Philharmonic de Madrid, la Real Philharmonic de Galicia, and the Orchestra Symphonic de Tenerife. He has taken advanced courses with Rudolf Leopold, Valter Dešpalj, Stefan Schilling, Dmitry Ferschtman, and Roël Dieltens.

LUCJA MADZIAR (Poland)
Violin

Lucja Madziar was born in Poland in 1981 and received her first violin lessons at the age of six. Since 1995-2004 she has studied in the class of Prof. Petru Munteanu at the Academy of Music and Theatre in Rostock, Germany. She is currently studying with Prof. Silvia Marcovici at the University for Music and Dramatic Arts in Graz, Austria. Lucja has recently completed a Bachelor of Music (Honours) at the HMT Rostock. She won prizes at many national and international competitions. Lucja is giving recitals throughout Europe as well as in the USA. She has been invited to important music festivals like „Festival Mitte Europa” and „Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern” in Germany or „Bowdoin Summer Music Festival” in Brunswick, USA. She has appeared as a soloist with european orchestras She performed on such stages as the „Musikhalle” of Hamburg, Germany, Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory and Great Hall of the „Konzerthaus” in Vienna. In masterclasses she studied with internationally renown teachers like Igor Ozim, Gerard Poulet, Stefan Gheorghiu, Shlomo Mintz and Ida Haendel.
